Job Description


Promote organization Values, Culture and Vision. Supervisor, and in some cases create, and strategically implement wide range of Academic, Afterschool and Enrichment programs including Specialty programs, to meet current student needs. Ensure overall success of the program as established by the organization and in alignment with the AMS standards. Ensure program environment, operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies. The goal is to add the highest possible value to the organization and maximizing every student’s potential. In collaboration with Admissions, assist in family admissions approval. Support overall operation of the organization.




Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization and in accordance with the Montessori Philosophy and AMS standards (where they are higher than the organization standards).

Lead the AMS accreditation process

Devise/evaluate strategies to monitor and ensure performance meets organization’s established standards

Devise and implement staff training program

Evaluate and supervise student and staff performance on established software/devise and measure against objectives

Evaluate and implement processes to create efficiency

Support overall school growth

Engage staff and families in student success

Keep Head of School/Admissions (where appropriate) and other senior staff informed with detail reports of staff performance and student outcome

Design and implement summer camp program

Discover and implement strategies, procedures and policies to enhance productivity and classroom management.

Implement and maintain daily staff schedule

Maintain at least 85% student retention

Oversee individual classroom inventory of classroom learning materials and implement policies regarding responsibility of loss of materials

Manage budget

Ensure organization meets state and DEL health and safety requirements/procedures (Disaster preparedness, lock down, fire drills, earth quake drills, kitchen safety etc.)

In collaboration with Human Resource and Head of School hire qualified staff in accordance with established organization standards and ensure continuous staff development.

Observe and evaluate families and children for enrollment purpose, and support student placement

MA in Education

State Teaching Certificate

Montessori Certification, AMS, AMI, or MACTE Accredited. (Primary and Lower and Upper Elementary)

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (includes Elementary)

3 to 5 years of supervision in a Montessori Primary and Elementary school

Strong Organizational and leadership abilities

Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines

Proficient in MS Office, MRX and other relevant industry software

Strong leadership skills


Other Requirements

Cleared Background check and Current First Aid/ CPR

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crouch, sit on the floor and conduct all activities/movements necessary to support children enrolled the program

Ability to function in a calm and professional manner under pressure (or in an emergency)
