The State Board of Education’s online approval application deadline is April 1, 2025. Contact the Private Schools Manager, Nicole Mulhaussen with any problems.
To confirm your school’s application status, visit the Private School Approval webpage and download the Approval Application Status Tracker spreadsheet. Use the search function in Column F (“School Name”) to find your school.
Here are some things to know while filling out your approval application:
- The application looks different, with more explanation and a different font. However, the rules haven’t changed, so there should be no surprises.
- If you are adding or subtracting a grade, you only have to indicate that by checking the boxes on the application. There is no other process.
- If all of your classroom teachers are Washington State certified, indicate that and do not add any non-certified staff to the list.
- Before you upload the Certificate of Compliance, please ensure it is the correct document and that it is signed by the Head of School.
