- Everyone under 18 is considered in the “sensitive groups” as their lung capacity is lower and still developing.
- Often, the air in schools is better than what the students have at home in some communities.
- You need to KNOW if the indoor air is safer than the outdoor air.
Portable Indoor Air Filters
All local health departments can request portable indoor air filters to lend to a school, as all have funding through DOH. Sometimes, a particular room needs to be cleaner for kids with asthma.
