Book battles raging nationwide, come to a head in WA State

Voters in November could close the only library in Columbia County, the result of a yearlong dispute over the placement of young adult books that address gender, sexuality and race. The Dayton, WA library would be the first library in the country to close because of a dispute over what books are on the shelves, according to the American Library Association.
