The “Choices in Education” video contest – www.ChoicesInEd.org – is open to students, parents and alumni of choice programs across the country. Videos may feature a student, their parents and/or their other family members. Guardians can submit videos on behalf of students under 18.
It’s simple: Think about how educational choices have made a difference for you and your family, or why you need more educational opportunities in your state. Then film a short video telling that story.
Millions of families have benefited from the power to choose the best learning environment for their child, but there are still more that need access to a wider variety of educational opportunities.
As confusion surrounding educational options grows, it’s time the public hears more real-life stories from students and parents on how educational choice has made a difference in their lives.
TELL YOUR STORY
Film a short video (under two minutes) on one of the following topics:
• How educational choice made a difference in my life
• Why I need access to educational choice options
All you need is a smartphone and a few minutes to share a great story!
Two People’s Choice winners will be chosen through public voting. A panel of judges that includes representatives from national organizations representing the full spectrum of educational choice will select the grand prize winners and runners-up.
3 Grand Prize Winners – $15,000 cash prize
3 Runners-up – $5,000 cash prize
2 People’s Choice Winners – $5,000 cash prize
The winners will be announced during National School Choice Week, Jan. 21-27, 2018.
