In December, the Seattle City Council, in a unanimous decision, passed Mayor Harrell’s Building Emissions Performance Standard / BEPS legislation. This legislation, which applies to buildings over 20,000 square feet, sets ambitious carbon emissions targets to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Compliance requirements begin with benchmarking data verification and emissions reporting in 2027, followed by the first emissions targets by 2031-2035.

Join the workshop on February 1, from 10 – 11:30 am Seattle’s BEPS: What You Need to Know Now

Also, the Clean Buildings Accelerator Program for Seattle area business owners’ next cohort begins Jan 30th. This FREE program provides training and mentorship for Clean Buildings and BEPS implementation. (Says it is for 50K and larger but is also open to 20K and larger owners.)
