Diabetes in School Health is a monthly school diabetes health teleconferencing program for school personnel who care for students with diabetes.
Sessions are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month, at 3pm. Each starts with 10-15 minutes of instruction by a diabetes speaker/expert, followed by 45-50 minutes of discussion between the presenter and participants.
The care of a student with diabetes is complex and time consuming. Participants will gain knowledge that will enable them to support a newly diagnosed student, a student working on gaining independence, or school staff involved in care, and get updates on the ever-changing technology used in diabetes management.
