DOH recently received a large donation of high-efficiency HVAC filters. These filters help remove fine particle pollution and improve indoor air quality. They are especially useful during wildfire smoke events. These filters can be used in ventilation systems or as part of a box fan filter.

DOH is offering these filters to groups across Washington, and distribution to schools will be coordinated through WAMOA and regional ESDs.

Currently, there is no limit on the quantity of filters requested. The minimum request quantities are listed below (per size and type of filter):

  • 20x20x1 MERV 14 – Minimum order 24
  • 20x20x1 MERV 13 – Minimum order 24
  • 20x25x1 MERV 13 – Minimum order 20
  • 16x20x1 MERV 13 – Minimum order 24
  • 16x25x4 MERV 13 – Minimum order 4

If your school is interested in this opportunity**, email sr****@**is.org with your filter interest type and contact information.

**Please confirm that the MERV rating matches what your current system is using. If these filters are a higher rating than your current filter, they will pull more particulates from the air but also place greater strain on your air system.
