Private schools had a big win this week at the US Department of Education. While attending the 2022 ONPE Private Schools Leadership Conference in Washington, DC, WFIS received the new EANS Disposition Guidance (see below) that will help schools in the future.
EANS_Disposition_Guidance_5.20.22
The new guidance allows nonpublic schools to keep any EANS I or II equipment or supplies purchased, past the period of performance, as long as it is still needed for the EANS programs. Schools would still have to track the equipment or supplies as they are now, but schools can keep all EANS purchases in their buildings.
This letter permits OSPI to do what they, early on, expressed was their preference: to leave the EANS purchased equipment with the private schools.
