Throughout the year, WFIS and our partner organizations present Learning Summits providing focus on a variety of issues that are of particular relevance to private school teachers, administrators and staff. Below is a list of these upcoming events.

2019 Private Schools Summer Conferences

Differentiation: Practical Strategies for Implementation led by Class Measures

Class Measures associates are skilled in the art of demystifying differentiation, supporting teachers to make impactful choices from a range of techniques and strategies that will guide improved student learning, progress and achievement.  These conferences are FREE to educators of State Board of Education approved private schools, with all training materials and free clock hours included!

Each conference will engage in presentations, discussions and practical activities that address themes such as:

  • The physiological need to differentiate – an overview of scientific and academic research.
  • Practical lesson design – making standards fit our students through skilled standards unpacking.
  • When to differentiate and when to scaffold.
  • Differentiation methods – a full overview of the seven models of effective differentiation.
  • Responding to social and emotional needs with differentiated practices.
  • Using project-based learning/cross-curricular learning to meet individual needs.
  • Specific strategies in differentiation for English language learners.
  • The fully differentiated lesson – an exemplary case-study that includes the effective use of technology in the classroom.

Private Schools Day


Join other private school administrators, teachers, technology specialists, and support staff from the preschool and K-12 educational community in hearing informative presentations from educators and entities deeply invested in education, career development and school success.  

Check-in with coffee/tea begins at 8am, followed by the general session and with keynote address at 8:30am.  Attendees choose two morning break-out sessions before a delicious lunch (included in cost) followed by your choice of two afternoon breakout sessions before the closing with prize drawing at 3pm.  

Private Schools Day provides continuing education Clock Hours and Merit Stars. A vendor showcase will also be on hand for participants to browse services and support opportunities are available to private schools and their staff at special discounts and rates.
