We are happy to pass along information important to Washington Private and Public Colleges and Universities that are negatively impacted by the low participation in the FAFSA and WASFA. Please read this Letter to Counselors and High School Principals from our state’s higher education leaders.

WFIS partners with high schools and higher education leaders to promote students into 2 and 4-year degree programs. We want to ensure students receive the funding they deserve and not leave money on the table. This year, the FAFSA has been confusing and difficult; colleges and universities have responded by extending due dates. The FAFSA isn’t due until June 30.

As the letter above outlines, counselors are excellent at conveying steps to successful college placement. WFIS hopes the ideas expressed are helpful.
