A federal court has blocked enforcement of the Biden Administration’s Title IX regulations, which broadened the interpretation of Title IX’s protections against discrimination on the basis of sex to include sexual orientation and gender identity. An appeal of the court’s decision is not expected.
This ruling comes on the heels of the Biden Administration’s decision three weeks ago to withdraw its highly anticipated proposed rule on the participation of transgender students in athletics.
