The Washington Childcare Centers Association (WCCA) shared a resource designed to help educators prepare for the possibility of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity. Developed by the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and reviewed by an immigration attorney, the guidance outlines legal rights and practical steps schools can take to help safeguard the privacy and well-being of children, staff, and families.

WFIS has been advised of the importance of I-9 documents to be filled out COMPLETELY, and aggregated in a separate folder to avoid issues if the school is presented with a judicial warrant asking for this information. See Sample.
