The Human Resources Generalist provides a multitude of duties which support the administrative needs of the HR Manager and the staff of Northshore Church and Academy. This position requires an individual who will multi-task effectively and work in a fast paced, high demand environment. The HR Generalist will represent Northshore Christian Church in a professional manner, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, and have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office, Publisher, and Outlook. This individual will be knowledgeable of, and support NCC and NCA’s mission, vision, values, and ministry strategies. Other general expectations include the willingness and desire to contribute to the areas of fellowship, encouragement, sacrifice, cooperation, prayer, and devotions, as they seek to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and the church.

Essential Functions
• Assist in processing all employee paperwork
• Prepare and maintain employee files
• New hire and benefits orientation on all new or transferred employees
• Benefits administration and reconciliation of invoices
• Maintain updated Job Descriptions for all positions
• Recruitment: postings and review of applications
• Provide supervisors with 90-day and annual review lists, track completion and file in employee PayNW file
• Maintain L&I/worker’s compensation files and work with employees and Stop Claims to ensure all worker’s compensation cases and employee injuries are handled in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain employee background check program for the organization
• Conduct audits of various benefits or other HR programs
• Complete Verification of Employment requests
• Attend necessary meetings as required
• Print employee badges as needed
• Assign SafeSchools training and monitors staff completion
• Input and maintains 403b filing as needed
• Input and maintains Long Term Disability (LTD) claims
• Enter information for new hires and transfers in RenWeb
• Maintain effective communication with all NCC and NCA staff to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing organizational goals
• Personal commitment to growth in Christian living, including personal time in reading the Word, prayer and small groups
• Maintain working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry emphasis/position
• Ministerial Duties: Communicate church beliefs to members/guests/team members, lead prayer during staff gatherings, teach group devotions, pray with congregation members/visitors encountered around campus or following services, pray on the phone with those in need, share with others your personal testimony of faith in Christ and teach the Gospel to those who do not know God.
