Job Opening: Business Administrator for 2021/22 school year (Director Level Position)
Olympia Waldorf School is seeking an efficient, well-organized, experienced professional to provide leadership in the business and administrative roles of the school. This is a year-round position.
The ideal candidate will have management experience, budget / financial management experience, and proficiency with accounting software. The candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and impeccable attention to detail, systems, and processes. Human resource experience, customer service experience, and work with a non-profit board is preferred.
Essential functions include supervising accounting and payroll functions, advising the Board of Trustees on current operations and finances, and providing regular, professional and unified communications to the entire school community as well as families, vendors, and community members. A bachelor’s degree is required.
Candidate will serve as part of the faculty-leadership body that oversees faculty, curriculum, and overall pedagogy. Candidate will supervise
– all facility operations, health & safety protocols, and security processes.
– all enrollment activities and assist in the development of the enrollment plan.
– all development activities including communication with current and potential donors.
Business Administrator is supervised directly by the board.
About the School: Olympia Waldorf School is a full member AWSNA and WECAN school that serves students from preschool through eighth grade. Our faculty is comprised of three early childhood teachers and assistants, eight grades teachers, specialty teachers, and a full administrative staff.
Campus and Community: Olympia Waldorf School was founded in 1985 and is situated on 5.6 acres of field, garden, and woodland in semi-rural East Olympia. Our campus includes Prairie Hall, a historic school building built in 1914 and opened in 1916, a modern Middle School building, and a charming Kinderhause.
