Summary: Extensive knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, GAAP, Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple interruptions. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion to ensure appropriate communication of sensitive and private information. School business experience and/or complex organizational nonprofit business experience with sales and development components preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 3-5 years of experience in a school, managing multiple channels and familiar with the role of the Board of Directors, administrative leadership, and faculty community as well as the areas of Accounting, Finance, and employee supervision. Applicant must be a born-again Christian, faithfully attend a local evangelical church and accept our doctrinal statement.

Job Requirements: Manage and supervise the Finance and Business office in addition to performing AR responsibilities for Tacoma Baptist Schools
Oversee all finance related activities including, AP/AR, payroll, governmental reporting, compensation, credit card and banking reconciliation
Daily accounts receivable, monthly billings, electronic deposits and related duties
Perform functions alongside the Business Manager, ensuring the deadlines are met and providing accountability of fund
Oversee the Director of Transportation & Facilities
Oversee the Director of Student Service
Manage vendor relations and contracts for service
Coordinate with external accounting firm to process the year-end closeout and 990 completion
Prepare reports for monthly Board of Directors meeting
Provide financial information as required to the Administrative Team
