TRCS is a passionate, inspired learning community. Three Rivers Christian School is seeking a Middle School Teacher specializing in Math and English. This position will finish off the 2024-2025 school year with an April 7, 2025 start date through June 13, 2025

We’re seeking the right individual to teach-out the 2024/2025 school year. We seek a creative individual who thrives on autonomy and developing relationships with students. A complete curriculum map and teacher lesson plans (to start off) will be provided.

This position will be open for hire in the 2025/2026 school year.

Reports to High School Principal

Spiritual Leadership

View each student as uniquely created in the image of God with specific gifts and abilities which it is our role to help identify and develop.
Motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and be a Christian witness and role model to them to help them grow in their faith.
Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters.

Academic Leadership

Organize and manage classroom(s).
Work with colleagues and administrators to coordinate instructional best practices and teaching goals.
Plan lessons, lectures, multimedia demonstrations, and other presentations appropriate to the English curriculum.
Assign classroom lessons and homework.
Grade student assessments.
Stay current with state and local standards and testing requirements.
Work with students individually to assess progress, improve learning performance levels, and achieve overall education success.
Prepare students for grade advancement through subject-specific assessments.
Conduct open classroom sessions and schedule parent-teacher conferences.
Attend professional advancement seminars, presentations, and professional development conferences.
Understand various learning disabilities and available options to aid in addressing them in the classroom.

Administrative Leadership

Provide leadership in the development, launch and delivery of English curriculum for students in middle and high school science courses.
Work cooperatively with other classroom teachers, interpreting the strengths and deficiencies of select students and assisting in classroom intervention strategies.
Communicate regularly with parents and professional staff regarding the reading needs of students.
Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about students, parents, or staff.
Complete necessary reports and record keeping as needed.
Participate in professional growth activities through staff development, in-service, workshops, and higher education.
Assume all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administrator or principal.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s (required), master’s, or doctorate degree from an accredited institution.
Hold a state teaching certificate (preferred).
Hold an ACSI certificate (preferred).
Have a minimum 3 years teaching experience, preferably in a Christian school.

Employment Contingent Upon

CPR/First Aid.
Clearance of National Criminal Background Check
Alignment with and signing of the TRCS Statement of Faith, Lifestyle Statement, and the TRCS Principles of Learning.
