We are now seeking an Organizational Navigator—We’re looking for a thoughtful and collaborative leader to help guide Woodhaven through its next chapter—someone who can support our growth while keeping us grounded in our mission and connected as a community.
About the Role
The Organizational Navigator is the strategic and operational steward of Woodhaven. This role is focused on ensuring organizational clarity, mission fidelity, and cross-functional alignment. You’ll serve as a connective force across our learning, support, and community engagement systems, helping the school grow in both structure and spirit.
You won’t be doing everything, but you’ll be ensuring the right people and structures are in place to move the work forward. If you’re someone who enjoys helping things run well—while staying grounded in community and purpose—this role is a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Stewardship & Governance
Partner with the Council of Trustees to guide long-term vision and strategic planning
Support the development of effective board and committee structures
Align organizational priorities with mission, capacity, and community feedback
Organizational Integration
Foster cohesion across all areas: curriculum, learner support, operations, and outreach
Monitor and support clarity of roles, responsibilities, and internal communications
Resolve gaps and overlaps across teams and functions
Financial Leadership & Sustainability
Lead budgeting and financial strategy with the Finance Committee
Oversee funding alignment, sustainability planning, and fiscal accountability
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure legal, safety, and accreditation compliance (state, fire, health, private school status)
Serve as a point of escalation for institutional risks and regulatory issues
People & Culture
Support HR systems development and staff evaluation practices
Nurture an inclusive, accountable, and values-centered work culture
Step in as needed to model adaptability, empathy, and grounded leadership

Role Details
Time Commitment: ~3–4 days/week, including regular on-site presence
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience; includes benefits
