In response to several private school inquiries…

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) within the Department of Education is a real organization that needs more private schools to participate by filling out its survey. The NCES has sent out their biennial survey that collects comprehensive data on K-12 private schools in the United States.

These surveys help independent schools, as they provide a platform to record actual data from the schools themselves. Our federal partner, CAPE —the Council for American Private Education —has asked WFIS to encourage our schools to participate.

The Federal Office of NonPublic Education (ONPE) is meeting with WFIS’ to ask for input regarding the data NCES collects through the survey. They are curious about other data points to include in the survey.

Reach out to WFIS if you have any thoughts or ideas about the NCES survey for us to include in our discussion with ONPE.
