The Private School Advisory Council (PSAC) accreditation workgroup, chaired by Debbie Schindler of Pacific Christian Academy, has met regularly this fall to develop a process and apply it to review and approve boarding school accreditation standards.

This workgroup is made up of representatives from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the Seventh-day Adventists, the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA), the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS), and the State Board of Education’s private school representative.

The goal of the approval process is to allow accredited boarding schools to use their accreditation process without having to go through a duplicative Department of Children, Youth, and Families licensing process.
