School Choice

WFIS is watching the Texas House’s preliminary passage of the largest day-one school choice bill in American history. The $1 billion program, which creates education savings accounts of more than $10,000 per student to cover various education-related expenses, passed with an 86-61 vote. This victory for the Texas Private Schools Association marks the first time ever that the Texas House has passed a private school choice bill.
