How are teachers using professional growth plans (PGPs) to renew their certifications?

Some schools report that teachers create PGPs to meet state standards for renewing teacher certifications. While WFIS works to have the clock hour law rewritten to allow private schools and organizations to offer CCDEI clock hours, the PESB has confirmed that the PGPs are an appropriate alternative.

CCDEI clock hours are required in June 2024. Educators who take courses that utilize the CCDEI standards are allowed to use PGPs this year to ensure that any current CCDEI training gets counted.

Bellarmine Prep’s PGP expert Jody DeGroot has been invited to present details on how they established a robust PGP system. Join the K12 Zoom on Feb 9th. Staff members who support teacher certification are invited to join you at the meeting.
