Public and private schools intending to offer Traffic Safety Education (TSE) must apply annually to OSPI for program approval (WAC 392-153-014). OSPI must approve programs to enter valid completion information into the Department of Licensing’s (DOL) License Express for Business account.
To request program approval of a TSE program for the 2025-26 school year:
- Go to the Traffic Safety Education website.
- Click on the “TSE Online Program Data” link to log in and update your data (program data, personnel, vehicles, and schools’ tabs).
- Complete and return the revised TSE Program Approval Application
The Traffic Safety Education Program Approval Application must be emailed to K1****@****wa.us by August 1, 2025.
