On Tuesday, November 12, at 9:00 am, approved private schools that also serve as nonpublic agencies (NPAs) will meet with Scott Raub, OSPI’s Assistant Director of Policy and Community Engagement, and Sue Ann Bube, Director of Dynamic Education Solutions. OSPI has engaged Ms. Bube to address new responsibilities surrounding monitoring and approval processes for students with disabilities placed in NPAs. The meeting will cover the revised NPA application and provide an opportunity for questions.
WFIS and NPA schools are actively collaborating with OSPI to ensure that the NPA application is purposefully aligned with the unique needs of special education students while avoiding redundancies with state approval and accreditation procedures.
NPAs play a critical role as a safety net for students with complex needs, offering supportive environments where students can experience growth and success. We are proud to support the important work of our NPAs, which are integral to the educational landscape in Washington.
