WFIS has already hosted several meetings in the Puget Sound for early learning programs to walk through the WACs together and discuss desired changes.  WFIS has requested feedback from early learning programs statewide as well and have heard from many of our schools and programs.
This summer DEL is hosting four DEL Negotiated Rule-making Meetings.
The first was this past weekend in Renton.  There are several reasons why WFIS is participating. One is to ensure that the changes in the rules benefit mission -based early learning programs.  Also, private schools run over 250 early learning programs.  DEL rules affect the daily lives of our communities.
The DEL Negotiated Rule-making Meetings are open to the public:
  • June 23 – 25 Intent-Professional Development; at the Red Lion at the Red Lion Hotel, 607 E Yakima Avenue Yakima, WA 98901
  • July 28 – 30  Environment; at the Red Lion 2300 Evergreen Park Dr SW Olympia, WA 98502
  • August 25 – 27 Administration; at the Red Lion Hotel One S. Grady Way Renton, WA 98057
  • September 22 – 24 at the Red Lion Hotel One S. Grady Way Renton, WA 98057
