The State Board of Education approved Emergency Graduation Rules, Waivers, explained here, for students affected by COVID-19. Schools are allowed to waive two credits, which can be core classes, but not two in the same core class.
For schools not able to provide 1000 hours or 180 days, the State Board has provided a waiver for the 2020-2021 school year. The instructional hour requirement for private schools with an online education program is deemed met.
The portal for these waivers will remain open until July 31, 2021.
