Weapons Report due to OSPI by July 31st

All private schools are required by law to enter into the Education Data System (EDS) any incidents of weapons on their school premises this year.

Please check your data carefully, and print a copy for your record BEFORE SUBMITTING; it will be published on the OSPI website and provided to the legislature.

To log into EDS:

  • Use the Head of School email address and your building code – the exact details used for the SBE approval process.
  • Go to Attendance and Weapons (Private User) under your applications list. This will direct you to the application Weapons Report.

Choose either:

  • “We have no firearm, knife, or weapon incidents to report this year.”

Click on submit, and your report is complete.

-OR-

  • “We have firearm, knife, or weapon incidents to report this year.”

Then complete the form and then click on submit.

Schools can only submit data on the last day of their school year. All data must be submitted by July 31, 2023.
