Suzie and Sharon hit the road to visit schools last week. On Monday, we visited with Kim DeLeon at Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey, Erin Hart of Three Rivers Christian Schools in Longview, and Alicia Jackson of Big Leaf Montessori in Longview. Then Tuesday morning, we stopped by to see Danielle Benge at Cascade Montessori of Vancouver before settling into Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School in Battle Ground for the day.

Meadow Glade Principal Ric Peinado led fellow regional private school leaders, Senator Lynda Wilson, and WFIS, on an inspirational tour of his school building filled with history and visions of the future. The group then shared lunch and a rich discussion of current issues. Thank you, Bethany Edmundson, Danielle Benge, Emily Davis, Gabrielle White, Gene Heinrich, Heidi Kruger, Julie Olson, and Ric Peinado, for your willingness to speak about your programs’ successes & challenges, while conveying the grit, commitment, and creativity that is a hallmark of private education in our discussion with the Senator.

This two-day journey was a rich and joyful experience that left the WFIS team grateful and rejuvenated! Your schools are genuinely inspiring.
