WFIS’ Suzie Hanson chaired the National State Cape Network, the network of 38 state advocacy organizations for seven years. John Elcesser (IN), Jim Cultrara (NY), and Tim Benz (MN) will take over the duties of chair of the network this month.
Suzie says, “It was an honor to serve. The pandemic put the work of the network front and center. There were several months we Zoomed first thing every morning. The advocacy leaders are closer to one another with a deeper understanding of the political similarities and differences between the states. We learned how to speak in one voice while nuancing the messaging. WFIS will maintain a leadership role in this network.”
