Private school math teachers and the entire math department may want to review the newly proposed math standards. While private schools are not required to teach to these standards, aligning and mapping curriculum to them remains an important part of instructional planning, and the proposed changes may influence future decisions.

The Washington State K–12 Learning Standards for Mathematics are being released for Initial Adoption with the December 4, 2025 Bulletin. They can be found on the OSPI Learning Standards Review page on the OSPI website.
Teachers and staff are encouraged to provide feedback to OSPI by completing the survey available through February 13.
