SPU Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Course Development
**YOUR INPUT NEEDED by May 1st**. WFIS is gauging interest in an upcoming Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion course hosted at Seattle Pacific University this August. This 4-day (two Fri/Sat in a row), 20 clock-hour course will support educators in meeting CCDEI requirements through a blend of theological grounding, PESB-aligned standards work, and practical classroom application. The estimated cost is $300 per participant, with potential Title II funding and cost-sharing support from Lighthouse Christian School.
To move forward, about 20 participants are needed. Let WFIS know how many teachers from your school might be interested in attending, and whether a virtual option would be important for your team (especially for those in Eastern Washington).
