OSPI’s Private School Advisory Committee comprises constituency leaders, WFIS staff, and representatives from the State Board of Ed and OSPI. Led by Jon Ram Mishra, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary, Early Learning, and Federal Programs at OPSI, and chaired by Debbie Schindler, Head of School at Pacific Christian Academy, this group has favorably affected many policies key to private schools.

- Expanding TK
- Negotiating rules for boarding schools with DCYF
- Seating a private school leader on the Professional Educator Standards Board
