Understanding and Teaching the Holocaust and Native American Histories for Civic Engagement

This workshop consists of two components:

  1. A free Zoom presentation by  Rebecca Clarren, author of the amazing book, The Cost of Free Land: Jews, Lakota, and an American Inheritance, November 6 at 4 pm.
  2. An in person workshop, November 7-9 2025 at Temple Beth Shalom and Spokane Falls Community College, with visits to historical sites of significance with a tribal elder from the Spokane Tribe of Indians.

Both components are open to educators and interested community members, although priority consideration will be afforded to educators for the in-person workshop, as space is limited to 25 participants. The in-person workshop requires a short application.
