Private School Participation in Federal Title Funds Programs
Private schools seeking to utilize federal government equitable service funding must submit an annual Intent to Participate in Federal Programs application for the 2026–27 school year.
The deadline to complete the application is April 30. To be eligible, the private school must be state-approved and non-profit. Use the State EDS application portal. For those new to this process, follow the EDS Log-In Instructions. Questions about the application can be sent to julie.chace@k12.wa.us.
Health & Safety Inspections
Conducted by local health departments, with confirmation of completion submitted to the State Board of Education on a three-year cycle. WFIS encourages school leaders to review their county inspection timelines and ensure the school schedules its review in advance of the approval process.
Clock Hour Provider Annual Application
Organizations that want to offer clock hours must apply to PESB for approval each year. Clock hour providers are approved for a one-year period (October 1 – September 30) and must reapply annually. The 2026-27 Clock Hour Provider application is open until May 1, 2026. There will be no extensions for incomplete applications. Direct questions to clockhoursPESB@k12.wa.us.
