WFIS worked successfully during the 2025 Legislative Session with the support of its lobbyists. Key legislative achievements include, but are not limited to:
- Extending the boarding school licensing timeline from 2025 to 2026.
- Securing language for private schools to access extensions on meeting Tier 1 clean building standards.
- Extending the dates for early learning teacher education requirements and expanding experience recognition.
- Rewriting of school health and safety environmental rules.
- Defeating the SEIU unionization attempt of all early learning teachers.
- Expanding conversation with key legislators on the college in the classroom opportunity for free college credits to include private school students.
- Educating legislators on the burden of licensing WACs in Washington.
