Parents of Adolescents and Teens (PAT) Parent Education – Hamlin Robinson School
The PAT program is a new initiative to support families with older children by offering expert-led discussion groups on adolescent development, communication, peer pressure, academic stress, and social media influence. Parents will gain practical strategies to better support their teens and strengthen family relationships.

De-Escalation Skills Workshop
at PSESD in Renton – Oct 8, 2024 & Apr 5, 2025
This workshop is designed for staff who support individuals with identified behavioral, emotional, and aggression challenges. The focus is proactive strategies to manage the individual’s environment and to provide positive behavior support to avoid the need for the use of physical safety techniques.

CARES: Suicide Prevention in Washington Schools
Online via Zoom with no cost to attend and 3.5 Clock Hours
CARES (Compassionate Assessment and Referral in Education Settings) has been explicitly developed in Washington State with mindfulness that preventing suicide among young people is not a linear or one-size-fits-all process. The training centers on equity and antiracism and will be regularly revised to build inclusiveness and add perspectives. At this training, learn to:
- Address how you might notice a student is in psychological distress
- Provide scripts and strategies for appropriate interventions
- Give resources for responding if a member of the school community dies by suicide
- Touch on how to care for yourself while doing this important and challenging work

Allyship and Implications of Memory: Learn about the Holocaust and Japanese American Incarceration
November 7-10, 2024
Teachers can receive up to 18 clock hours.
In this immersive 3-day workshop, participants will explore influences on our collective understanding of history and how diverse perspectives and contexts shape cultural memory. This workshop begins with a Zoom program that is open to the public. The remainder of the workshop is open by application, with priority given to teachers.
